Romance Invades the Canadian Rockies 2024

Hey bookworms!

Have you ever attended a book-signing event? I had the pleasure of attending the RITCR signing event in July, where I got even more books to add to my TBR! This was my very first book signing and I had a blast, especially since I got to attend the event with my book friend @justafellowreader. It was definitely a little overwhelming at first because so much was happening and there were lots of authors to meet, but I survived. I was initially supposed to read books by the authors attending the event, but life and mood-reading happened, and I ended up reading nothing related to that event. I’m hyped to read the books I now own though, because the authors did such a great job of hyping up their books and making me want to read them. I’m especially looking forward to reading my new books by Tanisha Headley and Leonor Soliz. I’ll include a list of all the books I had signed that are now going to be known as my RITCR TBR. I’ll also be adding a book by Tessa Bailey to that list later on, because I’ve been wanting to check out her books for forever. What’s your fav Tessa Bailey book? Let me know if you’ve read any of the books from my RITCR TBR and we can fangirl about them together 😂

Everyone had book carts, but I had to improvise and use a book cooler instead 😂

RITCR Book List:

Luke Brooks is Meadowlark’s most notorious bad boy, bar owner, and bachelor. He’s also the unofficial fifth member of the Ryder family. As Emmy’s older brother’s best friend, Luke spent most of his childhood antagonizing her. It’s been years since he’s seen her, but when she walks into his bar and back into his life, he can’t take his eyes off her. Despite his better judgment, he wants to do a whole lot more than just look at her.
Emmy’s got too much on her mind to think about romance. And Luke knows he should stay away from his best friend’s younger sister. But what if Luke is just what Emmy needs to get her spark back? Or will they both go up in flames?

Wild Love by Elsie Silver

She's been driving him wild for years . . . the good kind of wild.
The kind of wild that comes with wanting your best friend's little sister and knowing you can't have her.
Forbes may have labeled Ford Grant the World's Hottest Billionaire, but all he cares about is escaping the press and opening a recording studio in gorgeous small town Rose Hill. Something that comes to a screeching halt when he ends up face-to-face with a young girl who claims he's her biological father. Now, he spends his days balancing business with parenting a sullen twelve-year-old, all while trying desperately to keep his hands the hell off his best friend's sister, Rosie Belmont.

He vows to keep her at arm's length. Tries to stick to scowls and grumpy one-liners. But with her, verbal sparring is a type of foreplay―friction that soon turns to blistering heat.
Ford knows damn well he shouldn't cross this line. But shouldn't and can't are two very different things.
And the only thing he truly can't do is resist her.

Heartless by Elsie Silver

Working as a nanny for the world’s grumpiest single dad should have been simple. Except I can’t keep my eyes off him. And he can’t keep his hands off of me.
Cade Eaton is thirteen years older than I am and barely looks my way. Until I get him into the hot tub one night for a game of truth or dare. Then all bets are off—and so are our clothes.
He’s gruff, a little rough around the edges. But broad-shouldered ranchers with calloused hands and filthy mouths are this city girl’s kryptonite. So who am I to resist?
But it’s in our quiet moments together that he softens. It’s when he takes care of me that I realize his hardened exterior is just a façade. It’s when I watch him go all sweet with his little boy that I really fall for him.
Someone convinced him once that his best wasn’t good enough. But I’ve never felt more cherished than I do in his arms.
My contract may say this arrangement is only for two months.
But my heart says this is forever.

I’m worthy of his praise.

I’m a good girl, but I’m falling for the wrong man.
Emerson Grant knows what he wants—
And he wants me.
So how far will I go to hear his approval?

His daughter, Everly.
And there’s something I’m keeping from him: I just applied for the job of my dreams.

A sexy single dad and nanny romance.

Mile High by Liz Tomforde

ZANDERS
Chicago hockey isn't complete without me - everyone's favourite player to hate. I know my role, and I play it well. In fact, I thoroughly enjoy spending the majority of my game time in the penalty box before leaving the arena with a new girl on my arm each night.
What I don't like is the new flight attendant on our team's private plane. She works for me, not the other way around. But I'll be sure to remind her of that, and I can guarantee, by the end of the season, she'll be begging to quit her job.
But every road trip blurs the lines, and I can't quite figure out if I keep pushing that flight attendant call button in order to push her buttons, or if it's more than that.

STEVIE
I've been a flight attendant for years. I thought I'd seen it all, but when my new job lands me onboard working for the most egotistical and self-righteous diva in the NHL, I start to second guess everything. Including the promise I made to myself of never hooking up with an athlete again . . . no matter how annoyingly tempting he may be.
Evan Zanders is unfiltered, unapologetic, and too attractive for his own good. He loves his image, but I hate everything about it.
Everything but him.

Nero by S.J. Tilly

Payton
Running away from home at 17 wasn’t easy. Let’s face it though, nothing before, or in the ten years since, has ever been easy for me.
And I’m doing okay. Sorta. I just need to keep scraping by, living under the radar. Staying out of people’s way, off people’s minds.
So when a man walks through my open patio door, stepping boldly into my home, and my life, I should be scared. Frightened. Terrified.
But I must be more broken than I realized, because I’m none of those things.
I’m intrigued.
And I’m wondering if the way to take control of my life is by giving in to him.

Nero
The first time I took a man’s life, I knew there’d be no going back. No normal existence in the cards for me.
So instead of walking away, I climbed a mountain of bodies, and created my own destiny. By forming The Alliance.
And I was fine with that. Content enough to carry on.
Until I stepped through those open doors, and into her life.
I should’ve walked away. Should’ve gone right back out the door I came through. But I didn’t.
And now her life is in danger.
But that’s the thing about being a bad man. I’ll happily paint the streets red to protect what’s mine.
And Payton is mine. Whether she knows it or not.

Leather & Lark by Brynne Weaver (Audiobook)

Indie singer-songwriter Lark is the sunshine and glitter that burns through every cloud and clings to every crevice that Lachlan Kane tries to hide inside. With her formidable family in a tailspin and her best friend’s happiness on the line, she’s willing to make a vow to the man she’s determined to hate, no matter how tempting the broody assassin might be.
As Lachlan and Lark navigate the dark world that binds them together, it becomes impossible to discern their fake marriage from a real one. But it’s not just familiar dangers that haunt them.

One Touch by Lena Hendrix

Falling hard for my ex-boyfriend’s rugged older brother was never in the plan.
Beckett Miller may be my brother’s best friend, but he’s also the last person on earth I want to ask for help. He’s stubborn, demanding, and doesn’t care at all what people think of him—everything his little brother wasn’t, and definitely everything I should not want.
Thanks to my own stubbornness and my three infuriating siblings, he is the only one who can help me renovate my beloved aunt’s farmhouse.
Beckett thinks I’m a doormat, and I know he’s an arrogant prick, but toss in one late-night game of tipsy strip poker, and before long, endless summer days turn into scorching nights.
Every stolen touch—every kiss—is wrong in the best ways.
I can fix everything around me: my friends’ problems, my brothers’ love lives, maybe even the decades-old rivalry that divides our cozy coastal town. So Beckett’s snarl and heavy sighs are no match for me.
The only thing I can’t seem to fix is the way my body reacts when he swings a hammer. I built walls to protect my heart after what his brother did to me, but I’m finding it could all come crumbling down with just one touch.

Catching Sparks by Hannah Cowan

When Garrison Beckett stumbles into Cherry Peak, it isn’t by choice. As the CEO of Swift Edge Records, his presence here is like a storm cloud in our clear blue sky. They say he’s here for the next two months to grow as a person while waiting for the dust to clear back home, but he sees his stay as a punishment wrapped in small-town charm.
He’s everything I’ve always avoided in men: rude, conceited, and utterly infuriating. Yet, while the spark between us is impossible to ignore, it’s also a giant pain in my ass.
We fall into a simple arrangement. Friends with benefits. No strings, just the thrill of the moment and undeniable sexual chemistry. It was supposed to be easy. I wasn’t supposed to fall for him.
As the end of his two month exile approaches, the reality of our situation sinks in. Garrison’s life is in Toronto, and my roots are buried deep in Cherry Peak. We’re worlds apart, but surely I can’t just let him walk away…right?
Is our love enough to bridge the distance between two entirely different worlds? Or are we destined to be just another Cherry Peak legend?
