Blueberry Vanilla Panna Cotta

Blueberry Vanilla Panna Cotta

Hey foodies!

I realized I haven’t posted much food content on here that isn’t book related so I thought I’d share a yummy dessert I tried making recently. I bought some agar agar powder and looked up some recipes that used it and I found one for vanilla panna cotta that looked so yummy! I love the panna cotta from my local farmer’s market so I thought it would be fun to make my own. This was super easy to make and it tasted like vanilla whipped cream with blueberries. I made this with blueberries because I was already making some blueberry lemonade (stay on the lookout for my summer drink collab post with @princessreadsalot and @sushirainbow) but you can honestly probably make it with any fruit. Here is the link to the recipe I used.

For this recipe I didn’t make the strawberry puree because I had my leftover blueberry syrup that I just used instead. I was so glad I had enough vanilla extract for this because I was almost out. Next time I make this I would like to try it with vanilla paste instead of extract to see if there’s any taste difference and to see how pretty it looks with the seedy bits. I also want to see if I can make a bigger version of this, like instead of putting the panna cotta into multiple small ramekins, just put it into one big bowl so it’s like a big panna cotta cake.

If you try this recipe or have any fun panna cotta recipes I should try, let me know in the comments below!

Happy eating 😊
